Development of regenerative therapies using bioactive molecules based on comprehensive understandings of biological system

We study the biological systems that regulate organogenesis including skeletal development through genetic and molecular biological approaches with a particular focus on transcriptional regulations. The research leads to the identification of bioactive molecules and the understanding of biological actions at the interface between living bodies and bioactive molecules, ultimately being aimed to develop bioactive molecule-based regenerative therapies. We take advantage of genome-wide, transcriptome-wide, and proteome-wide analyses, and integration of the comprehensive data sets by bioinformatic and computational techniques.
